A new, quick illustration created for the participatory blog Illustration Friday. The theme of the week was “Mystery”. I used a photo from my trip up E’Mei Mountain, a sacred Buddhist mountain in Sichuan province. I wanted to evoke the sense of mystery and delight I felt when we climbed up a steep set of stairs and a beautiful temple emerged out of the thick mist.
